Parents
Useful information
We recognise the crucial role that parents/carers have in their child's life and we will always involve you as much as possible.
When your child starts nursery we will ask you information regarding your child's interests, likes and dislikes so we can make their time in nursery interesting and enjoyable. We will do this again each time your child transfers to a new room to ensure we continue to meet their needs.
You will receive a daily update for children under 2 years, keeping you informed of their learning and activities during the day. We encourage older children to be able to talk to you about their daily activities and support the sharing of photos between home and nursery.
You're welcome to talk to about your child with their family worker; we will always make time for you.
Parents say:
"You do a brilliant job. The staff always seem keen and interested and often share progress and stories about my child. It's a lovely, caring environment."
"Thank you to the girls in the baby room for always looking after my child so well. Very happy with the care and support we have been given from them!"
"I could not be more positive about Taywood Nursery. After a previous negative experience at E's old nursery, I feel so happy and content...E's learning journey is amazing, full of observations that tell me how well they really know her. Thank you for everything you continue to do for us!"

Parents at Play
Nursery School has regular 'Parents at Play' days when families are invited to take part in a range of activities with their child during a nursery session. We hope you will enjoy joining in with some of the play opportunities children experience while they are here, get ideas for developing their play at home and increase your understanding of the EYFS curriculum. There are also informal opportunities to talk with your child's family worker during the sessions.
