Admissions
We operate an 'Open Door' policy and all future families are welcome to visit Taywood.
We are happy to show you around our provision so you can see all the children at play in our purpose built environment and talk to the staff about any queries or matters of interest.
Information regarding hours, fees, vacancies and any specific needs can be discussed at this time.
Parents wishing to access any of our provision will be requested to complete an admission form.
Confirmation of your child's date of birth will be required, such as birth certificate, passport or medical card.
As soon as a vacancy is available the nursery will contact you.
If you require a full year place, an induction programme will be organised by the Senior Practitioner and key person to ensure that your child accesses settling in sessions so they experience a positive transition from home to nursery.
We ask for families to support us with this as starting nursery is such an important time for your child.
If you require a free term-time only place (using up to 15 free funded hours) you and your child will be invited to Key Worker session the term before your child starts nursery. Your child can come to play in one of our nursery rooms and meet with their key person and you can be informed of relevant issues such as typical routines and activities your child will be involved with and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. You will also have the opportunity to discuss any queries or concerns that you may have.
In Willow Room the key person will make a home visit to start our close working relationship with parents and children.
All children will have an arranged transition into nursery through an induction programme and we ask that you attend at least the first session with your child in order to ensure that their start is a positive one. Individual children have different needs and the induction period can be tailored according to your child's security and confidence when starting nursery. We ask for your support to help us to do this.
Primary School Admissions
If your child is due to start Primary School in September (they have their 4th birthday between 1st September 2020 and 31st August) you will need to apply by January.
